I know what it’s like to want to better your own health. Everyone has their reasons, whether it be because they are unhappy with how they look, health complications are making things harder than they need to be, or any of the other countless reasons.
My health journey started my freshman year of college. I was, to put it bluntly, an obese 18-year-old. I was scared after hearing all the stories about the dreaded “freshman 15”. I didn’t want to add another 15 pounds to my weight because I was already insecure and unhappy as it was.
So I decided enough was enough and flipped my fitness life on its head. I spent months researching things that I could do to improve my health other than the obvious, working out and going to the gym. While I did do that, I knew it was only half the battle. The hardest part was what I did after. While I am not a personal trainer or dietician, I have been researching practices and proven methods for years as to how I can improve my health. It’s a big part of my life now.
Being healthy will take work and is a never-ending process, but it is worth every drop of sweat and tear. I’ve never felt better, I will live longer and be able to do things that people half my age won’t be able to do!
I was able to drop my weight from 250 pounds to 168 pounds in just seven months! A big reason I knew that I would be able to stick with it is because of my own personal willpower to stick with things, even when they get rough. I also realized that I just need to start, not wait for a new year or some specific month, but just actually start doing things to improve my health.
Now I want to pass my knowledge on and show you methods that either worked for me or might work for you. I want to show you ways that can help your journey towards a healthier life. Whether that be fitness exercises, eating healthy, or just ways to help you carve out at least a couple of minutes for yourself every day.
